Welcome to Moteng! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") explain how our app works and what you agree to by using it.

By using Moteng, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. What Moteng Is (and Isn't)

Moteng is a transport tracking app. It helps connect riders and drivers by letting them share their locations so they can find each other more easily. We do not operate any transport services ourselves.

We are not a transport company. We don’t hire drivers or operate vehicles. We just provide the platform and require the drivers to be legitimate.

2. Who Should Use Moteng

• Riders: Please use the app only when you're actively looking for transport.
  
  

• Drivers: Please only use the app when you’re on duty and available to pick up passengers.
  
  

Moteng is meant to support real-time connections during transport needs. Please don’t use it for unrelated or personal tracking purposes.

3. Payments and Subscriptions

Moteng may include:
• One-time payments
• Subscription plans

We use Paystack for secure payment processing. All payments are final – we do not offer refunds at this time.

Rider subscriptions reset your map loads each month. Any unused map loads from the previous month do not carry over.

4. User Responsibility Before Making Purchases

Before purchasing premium benefits, users are responsible for checking whether the service will meet their current needs — such as confirming there are drivers/riders in their area.

We do not guarantee driver or rider availability in any location at any time. Moteng is still in early development, and users may be limited. If you are unsure about availability in your location, we recommend using the free tracking options first. All purchases are made at the user’s discretion and risk.

5. Suspensions and Terminations

Right now, we’re still in an early testing phase (MVP). We haven’t fully implemented account suspension or termination features yet. This may change in the future.

6. What We're Not Responsible For

We are not responsible for:

• Any accidents or incidents that happen on the road
  
  

• Driver behavior (even if they’re approved on our platform)
  
  

• Riders misusing the app
  
  

• False GPS locations caused by poor weather, signal loss, or other environmental factors
  
  

• Shared or misused accounts
  
  

Please use the app safely and responsibly.

7. App Availability

Moteng is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee it will always be available or bug-free. We may make changes or take the app offline at any time.

8. Ownership

All original content, designs, and branding in the Moteng app — including the app name and logo — are the property of Meiwa (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reuse, or modify any of this material without written permission.

Some elements used in the app (such as icons and components) are provided by third-party libraries under open-source licenses. These remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our app evolves. If we do, we’ll notify you via a push notification. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

10. South African Law Applies

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
